The Vine and the Branches
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Spiritual hunger to build the kingdom of God is a powerful deep earning that is God implanted. Legalism, a legalist believes that the supreme force behind salvation is you. A few signs of common Legalism are, constantly appearing as being righteous in front of others, if your speech is heard just perfectly. If your thought life is based on ensuring that your motives behind all your actions always appear Holy. Someone who has allowed a spirit of discontent to fall on them, begins acting as though the brunt of responsibility doesn’t lie within God; it lies within themselves I will work my way to heaven.
God made you alive with Christ, and he forgave all your sins. He canceled the debt, which listed all the rules we failed to follow.
There’s a common misconception that God is this harsh task master. This way of thinking believes salvation should be filled with a bucket full of rules that allow no joy to be involved. The log truck moment (This is a visual reference as to your physical condition before and after being hit by a semi-truck carrying a load of logs). Salvation does and will of course, involve radical change with thoughts, actions, and a whole list of other areas that come along with being a human being. The log truck reference, excepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior will show dramatic signs of change. There should be a drastic change in the manner in which you operate. That soon you will no longer resemble that same old person you once where, as well as you should no longer be fighting the same battles you brought along with you that faithful day you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord.
Fruit Bearing: The Mark of True Salvation
It has been said that salvation is an education. Yet, unlike a traditional education where you graduate and receive a diploma. The education of becoming one with the mind of Christ. The education, at God’s University is one that you continue to grow in and move to new and greater levels of awareness of his presence. These sorts of things are within the heavenly nature. This being said, the evidence of being “Christ Like” with signs of fruit bearing is that God continues to expose you to new areas within yourself to change and improve on. Always realizing, the ultimate purpose is bringing souls to the Kingdom of God. This usually never looks or appears as we think it will or should. Point and case, we have become all too familiar in America with the idea of “Christianity”. The idea of legalistic Christianity has become an outward system of behavior modifications, in order to fit in with the “Sunday Christian Jones”. We are called to go into the world and not be of the world. It is possible that the Church could be one of the greatest weapons used by the devil in the last days. The bible says that many will say “Lord did I not cast out demons and prophesy in your name, yet he will say to them “depart from me you workers of iniquity I never knew you. I leave you with this, a willing submission to the one true God of heaven and earth, is a free will choice that is all yours in this life. For the bible says that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. Important to note that it says every knee shall bow. Not how many knees did you get to bow. As well, the verse says that every tongue will confess, not how many tongues did you get to confess. The underline lesson to meditate on here is; submitting yourself daily first to God, allowing for the depth of God’s truth to plant roots so deep inside your spirit that the fruits of an authentic relationship with the one true God is clearly evident.
If ever there was a time, if ever there was a place the here and now Lord, please the here and now
