My Prayer: Lord be my protector and shelter. You know my hearts desire. I need more of you God. I love you, there is no place I would rather be than here in your love. All glory to you father. – Amen
Hope is this funny thing that people fit into any and every category of their lives they can. I hope for this, I hope for that. Yet, the very foundation of the word hope is something much greater than generic wants and humanly desires. Predestination – “means to decide beforehand” and applies to God’s purposes comprehended in election. Election is God’s choice “in Christ” of a people for himself. Predestination is what happens to God’s genuine believers, our fate the future and eternity.
Ephesians 12:2 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Some of the ways that God’s grace is received are: humbling ourselves before God, studying and obeying scriptures, hearing the proclamation of the gospel, praying, fasting, and being continually filled with the spirit and participating in the Lord’s Supper. With all this Hope in predestination, and saving faith and God’s grace talk, I am still the guy sitting in the corner wondering why then the “here and now”. Why are we here, why is there a now? If eternity is the pie in the sky then why wouldn’t God just have create us and placed us in his presence?
Romans: 8:5-9 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the spirit the things of the spirit. 6: For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, neither indeed can be. 8: So they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Jesus came to give us life in the here and now, the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead desires to impart life even to our “mortal bodies” as we embrace his life within us the Holy Spirit is the “Spirit Of Life”.
True love is what God gave us by giving us life. Free will to choose our creator or turn your back. Then the reward in the here and now is just a glimpse of the reward in the after life. The relationship that we experience with the Holy Spirit is the most beautifully amazing extension that God has given us of himself to cherish here in this life. It appears as a down payment to the greatness that lies ahead. Hope is the knowing that the life your living now, is just a touch of how incredible your forever will be in eternity. Hope is found in a life willingly submitted to Jesus Christ.
