Proverbs 9:10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
The reverence of God, the understanding that he is all present. Always there, watching each thought, desire, and step we take. In our day and age we see signs of a society that has completely lost respect for any authority. Loyalty seems to be a thing that old western movies are made of, sounds too good to be true like a business deal on a handshake.
Proverbs 9:11 Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.
Have you ever sat back and watched as somebody made stupid decisions over and over? Have you ever heard the statement “Loyalty among thieves?” Why is it that the ones who walk the righteous path always get the rotten things that this world has to offer done to them? Obviously this is just a harsh point of view that I am holding on to today. Some days we have to look the enemy in the face and just scream at the top of our lungs that we will not accept another day of defeat. Victory at all cost is what is at stake. Life and death is what lies in the balance.
Can we ever be free if we are not willing to face the truth? Unequivocally not! The Fear Of the Lord is a bit like the un-addressable elephant in the room. Nobody is willing to take this problem head on. I will stand up and say that we will be known by our associations. We will be known by the kinds of people we choose to keep in our inner circle. I have ran into this issue many times in my life, her is where I struggle. Jesus Christ was not the first person in my inner circle, the Holy Spirit was not in my inner circle, and God the father was not apart of my inner circle either. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these shall be added unto you. A good tree bears good fruit, a bad tree bears bad fruit. Truth is simple, and truth always wins out. Sometimes truth isn’t what we want to hear, but truth will always win out.
Matthew 13:15 For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.
