This idea that we have become so accustomed to believing “I’m Sorry” has some power all of its own. I lived a life a bit like a ticking time bomb, it was always a matter of time before I exploded and made a mess of everything in my life again. I would always be quick to say I am sorry to those I loved, or the ones around me that really cared . I’m sorry was a normal mode of operation for me. Strange thing was I always believed that I WAS truly sorry. Problem was nobody around me did. Why?
Repentance – regret, remorse, sorrow, and grief. To be sorry means that you have regret, with sorrowful emotions and grief about what you have done. To tell me that you are sorry, then right afterwards continue right along being involved with the same sort of activity that you were involved in originally that you said you were sorry about is not sorry, this is “I am sorry that I got caught.” I have grief that I can not continue in selfish habits without being held accountable again. We trick ourselves into believing a lie.
This is what I have to realize about my life; My life is not my own. My life is a little piece of everyone else, plus completely Christ’s. It is a platform for which Christ gave His life up, in order for me to take His gospel to the ends of the earth.
I am sorry means a complete turning away from the person you were. Since your life begins changing at that point, gradually I am sorry will reflect in the improving overall quality of your choices. You will begin living in such a way that you will no longer have to say that you are sorry. Living in victory is what the Christian was meant to do. Power and authority is given to the believer.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Progression into the mind of Christ. Progression into the things of a Heavenly nature. God hates a liar and we’re told to hate the sin, and not the person. We see that death and life are in the power of the tongue. that we will be defined by what comes out of our mouth. Living in sin is a conscious decision. Not living for God is allowing any such compromise to stand in the way of seeking first the Kingdom of God. Idolatry is any one thing that captivates more of your thought life than God himself. We’re allowing for the appearance of being Christian to be played out on our Facebook accounts and random social media, however being a true Christian is to repent and fully turn away from our sins and not return back to them. Being a Christian is to have tasted the Light and now you have recognized the truth, and the reality of darkness has lost it’s appeal. To go pull souls out of darkness is your new mission in life, to take the gospel to the ends of the earth is what you were created to do all along. The age of accountability has come upon us, no longer are you able to sit idly by and choose to live in compromise after coming to the truth.
Psalm 86:12 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.
