Proverbs 28:1 The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions.
Boldness- fearless, courageous, brave, valiant, audacious. As I consider my faith through the lens of Boldness, it makes me pause and consider what I could be missing. Where I could implement courageous faith in my own life. Better yet, where could I demonstrate fearless faith for all the world to see and glorify God ? These are questions that make me wonder the where and how of truly living in such unique step with the word of God as to be joined as one with it.
Proverbs 28:4 To reject the law is to praise the wicked; to obey the law is to fight them. The modern day fight. Christians who acknowledge the Lord with their lips then deny him with their lifestyle.
Proverbs 28:11 Rich people may think they are wise, but a poor person with discernment can see through them. Through dependence on God through each and every situation, this allows for us to have dependence upon nothing this world has to offer. Complete and whole, lacking nothing.
Proverbs 28:20 The trustworthy person will get a rich reward, but a person who wants quick riches will get into trouble. The fight I engage in is realizing that God desires only good gifts for his children. That he does not call us to live in poverty and or lack, but also that he does not call us out of darkness just for gifts but to embrace the giver.
Proverbs 28:25 Greed causes fighting; trusting the Lord leads to prosperity. I trust in you Lord, for I know that my seeds and I are perfect and complete, lacking nothing, for you are a good Father.
Proverbs 28:27 Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.
My Boldness looks a bit like mental warfare daily. My being courageous is knowing that in midst of the circumstances that I currently see, it is the circumstances I do not see around the corner that I am thanking God for. Fearless faith is KNOWING that in the middle of this storm, God is still in control. My prayer life is still in a constant state of thankfulness and gratitude. When I do not think I have another ounce of energy to give, my Comforter is always right there to provide exactly what I need for the situation. My bravery is stepping out in Faith burning all bridges back to the world, and in knowing in that lonely place of reaching up toward Heaven with both hands, trusting that my Father will always be there to embrace me with his perfect will.
Bold As Lions.
